{"id":2,"date":"2006-04-08T10:43:52","date_gmt":"2006-04-08T14:43:52","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2006-04-18T11:04:54","modified_gmt":"2006-04-18T15:04:54","slug":"about","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/lowtek.ca\/list\/?page_id=2","title":{"rendered":"About"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>List started as a project back when the Pilot 1000 and Pilot 5000 were first available.\u00c2\u00a0 For more information on the history of the Palm I suggest you start with the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Palm_Pilot\">wikipedia<\/a> entry.\u00c2\u00a0 At the time there was no easy development environment, I relied on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.massena.com\/darrin\/pilot\/\">resouces<\/a> hosted by Darrin Massena.\u00c2\u00a0 The original code was intended to be a CD List application limited to storing information about my music collection &#8211; I had done quite a bit of work in assembly using Pila as a GCC port had not been done yet.<\/p>\n<p>Before long GCC was made available, and moving to C was an obvious step.\u00c2\u00a0 While doing this re-write I made the code more generic to allow for any type of simple list.
