{"id":139,"date":"2008-10-01T11:38:16","date_gmt":"2008-10-01T16:38:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lowtek.ca\/roo\/?p=139"},"modified":"2008-10-01T11:38:16","modified_gmt":"2008-10-01T16:38:16","slug":"my-day-so-far","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lowtek.ca\/roo\/2008\/my-day-so-far\/","title":{"rendered":"My day so far.."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>My birthday started off pretty nice &#8211; waking up next to Jenn who whispered a &#8220;Happy Birthday&#8221; to me.\u00a0 Soon after our daughter Alison came by and wished me Happy Birthday, and then explained in great detail as she is apt to do that she would sing the whole song later.<\/p>\n<p>Many <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Instant_messaging\">IM<\/a>&#8216;s while at work with well wishes (thanks everyone).\u00a0 Ken was busy sending me charts and data for a conference call I was on.\u00a0 Then he said: &#8220;Have you seen this?\u00a0 Scary&#8221; and attached a presentation called &#8220;urgent funding issue&#8221;.\u00a0 It contained one slide:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lowtek.ca\/roo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/happy_38.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-140\" title=\"happy_38\" src=\"https:\/\/lowtek.ca\/roo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/happy_38.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"497\" height=\"514\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>While part of me think that turning 38 makes me old, another (possibly wiser?) part thinks I&#8217;m just starting to get to the good stuff.\u00a0 Of course, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.ca\/search?q=38+in+hex\">38 in hex is only 0x26<\/a> &#8211; so creative use of another base might be the solution here.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My birthday started off pretty nice &#8211; waking up next to Jenn who whispered a &#8220;Happy Birthday&#8221; to me.\u00a0 Soon after our daughter Alison came by and wished me Happy Birthday, and then explained in great detail as she is apt to do that she would sing the whole song later.
