There is a pretty reasonable <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Xkcd\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">wikipedia<\/a> article on it as well.<\/p>\n<p>Today&#8217;s comic cracked me up..<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/xkcd.com\/416\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/imgs.xkcd.com\/comics\/zealous_autoconfig.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Reading xkcd is not only humorous, it is educational.  For example, the term <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Rickroll\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rickroll<\/a> was brought to my attention a prior to the <a href=\"http:\/\/ryanspoon.com\/blog\/2008\/03\/31\/youtube-rickrolls-april-fools-in\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">YouTube April Fool&#8217;s<\/a> joke via xkcd &#8211; of course, this might simply serve as evidence of how uncool I am.\u00a0 More recently <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hackaday.com\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hack a Day<\/a> posted on a <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.wired.com\/27bstroke6\/2008\/04\/isps-error-page.html\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">security concern<\/a> with how ISPs are using failed DNS lookups to redirect people to advertising &#8211; to prove the point the security research rickroll&#8217;d users visiting the bogus links.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Most folk who read this will know about xkcd &#8211; but if you don&#8217;t, I highly recommend you check it out.
