Denis Davydov ddavydov@scadasoft.ru has built a Win32 (yes, this works with Windows/XP) companion program for List. You can get it from: http://denisd.newmail.ru/palm/listpc.zip or http://denisd.scadasoft.ru/palm/listpc.zip. [Edit: Links are busted – but a copy can be found here] Hopefully this will help many of you edit your List data on your PC. I’ve also tried to clean up stale links on the website. The number one complaint people have is that List does not yet support the SDCard or MemoryStick — please be patient. It is something I am working on.

Well, it certainly took a lot longer than I expected to get an update out.The release of the Tungsten with PalmOS5 caused problems for List. The 1.0 version addresses the problems found with this new OS version. However, List will only work properly on PalmOS 3.0 and above. I have made the old 0.99 version available so that people using older devices can continue to use it.
The 1.0 version of List does not add SDCard support that many people have asked for. I still have this on my ‘to do’ list, but I’m not sure when I’ll get a chance to get to this.
I’ve also changed the license for List. It continues to be a free product, but it is now licensed under the GNU GPL. http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html I would like to encourage anyone wanting to redistribute List in any form to review the license carefully.

List is still an ‘active’ project. I’m currently working on the SDCard support, as well as updating List to work flawlessly with all versions of PalmOS. The 0.99 version was created around the release of PalmOS 3.5, it still works on later versions of the PalmOS, but some of the new features (like SDCard storage) are not fully compatible. If you want to use List on a Palm device with an SDCard or other external memory, as long as you put List in the main Palm memory you’ll be fine. This will be addressed with the next version of List.
