Version 1.1.4

March 17th, 2007

Updated one handed navigation which should work better on Treo 650 (and probably others).

I believe I’ve got this sorted out to work on all devices, but without the ability to test on a wide selection of hardware myself – I rely on users of List to provide feedback if things are working well or not.

The root of the problem is a change from the Treo 600 handling of the center key events which sent a vchrRockerCenter and the newer Treo 650 and T5 (and likely even newer devices) sending vchrHardRockerCenter as well as vchrRockerCenter depending on how the vchrHardRockerCenter event was handled. The sensible reason behind this change was to enable the press and hold the center button functionality in the newer devices, but it certainly makes supporting multiple devices tricky.

Check out the download page for the new version.

Thanks for the new version, but it does not work completely correct on my TX.
The categories open much faster than in the 1.1.3 version, but when I open a record to edit it, than something strange happens.
When I want to edit the first letter of one field, the cursor jumps immediately to the most right position.
So I returned to version 1.1.2 again 🙂

    hi 2 all,
the new version 1.1.4 works very well on my TX, with the digitizer everything can be done, navigation with the 5 way navigation button works well. here also everything can be done.
Navigation in the editing mode is buggy, in field 1 and 2 the cursor jumps to most right position, with the navigation button I can move to the right. in the note field the cursor jumps to the last position, then on navigation back to the top a white screen appears. with the “done” button everything is ok then.
is there a new icon planned ? transparency would be nice on the TX, do you need some help ?
so long, ciao, thanks for the app 😉

I borrowed a friends LifeDrive to see if I could replicate this problem in editing on the TX – and initially I thought that I couldn’t see a problem, but after more poking around I believe I have replicated the issue. Let me experiment more and see if I can both describe the problem accurately and come up with a fix.

I did notice the icon being fairly bogus (lacking transparency) I certainly will see what I can do about that.
